What is life? Maybe this strikes you as a ridiculously simplistic question, but it's one that has puzzled philosophers for ages. Perhaps we should be asking how Scripture defines this important term. In John 17:3, the apostle quotes Christ's explanation of where genuine life is found: And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
Stop and think about this for a moment. Knowing God is life. This is about more than just what happens after we leave this earth. God is big. And for those who know God through knowing Christ, life is different. You can't come face to face with the infinite, all-powerful God and walk away unchanged.
